Thirparappu is the small town situated at the banks of Kothayar river at Kanyakumari District of Tamil Nadu. The place is famous for the Thirparappu waterfalls. The place was earlier called as Sri Visalam and Sree Vilasapuram. The temple is also called as Sri Veera Bhadreswarar Temple.

Neyattinkara is a small town in the southern part of Thiruvanantha Puram district of Kerala. The town is on the banks of river Neyyar. The place is famous for Sri Krishna temple.

Sri Parashurama Kshetram is the temple ascribed for the worship of Sri Parashu Ram, the sixth incarnation of Bhagwan Sri Maha Vishnu. The temple is situated at Thiruvallam at Thiruvanantha Puram, Kerala. The temple is considered as one of the abhimana Kshetrams of Bhagwan Sri Vishnu Murthy.

Sri Kanaka Durga Mata temple is situated at Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh. The temple is ascribed to the worship of Sri Durga Devi in the form of Kanaka Durga. Vijayawada is also known as Vijayavatha.

Sri Nataraja Mandir is ascribed to Sri Nataraja Swamy, the dancing Bhagwan Shiva. The temple is very ancient and is believed to be in existence since the time of Chola Kings. It is situated at a small town named Chidambaram in Tamil Nadu. Chidambaram lies in between the northern side of river Kollidam and the southern side of the river Manimuktha.

Sringeri is a town in Udupi District of South Karnataka. As per the legend, Sage Rushya Sringa is believed to be born in this place. Sri Sarada Devi temple is situated in the banks of Thunga Bhadra river. There are other small sanctums and temples in the premises.

Mangaluru is one of the cities in the South of Karnataka State. The place is ascribed to Mangal, the Angaraka Graha. The soil of the place is reddish. “Mangal” also denotes auspiciousness. The city is abundant in temples and the surrounding towns are known for very old famous temples. Earlier, this place was called as Mangala Pura.

The temple is associated with Maha Bharatha. As per the legend, during Maha Bharatha war, Bhishma had uttered a lie in the earshot of Dronacharya that “Ashwathama was no more”. Actually he meant the elephant Ashwathama.

Sri Mookambika Temple is situated at Kollur, South Karnataka. The temple is situated at the valley in Sahayadri Hills of Western Ghats near Sauparnika river. The hill range is also called as Sri Kodachari Hills.
