Sri Maha Lakshmi Ashtakam is the Stotram dedicated to and in prayer of Sri Maha Lakshmi, the consort of Sri Maha Vishnu.
Sri Maha Lakshmi Ashtakam is said to be referred in Sri Padma Purana. Lord Indra, the leader of the Devas is said to have recited this Stotram in praise of Sri Maha Lakshmi.
Sri Maha Lakshmi Ashtakam describes the attributes of Sri Maha Lakshmi as the provider and protector of wealth. The benefits of reciting this Stotram is embedded in the text itself.

शङ्ख चक्र गदा हस्ते महा लक्ष्मि नमोस्तुते (1)

फलश्रुति । Benefits of chanting
महालक्ष्म्यष्टकं स्तोत्रं यः पठेद्भक्तिमान्नरः
सर्वसिद्धिमवाप्नोति राज्यं प्राप्नोति सर्वदा (9)
mahaalakshmi-ashtakam sthothram yah paTaedh-bhaktimaan-narah
sarva-siddhim-avaapnoathi raajyam praapnoathi sarvadaa
Whoever ardently reads and recites this Sri Maha Lakshmi Ashtakam with sincere devotion shall be blessed with all accomplishments and prosperity (both spiritual and material).
एककाले पठेन्नित्यं महा पाप विनाशनम्
द्विकालं यः पठेन्नित्यं धन धान्य समन्वितः (10)
eka-kaale paTaen-nithyam mahaa paapa vinaashanam
dvi-kaalam yah paTaen-nithyam dhana dhaanya samanvithah
Whoever ardently reads and recites this Sri Maha Lakshmi Ashtakam with sincere devotion once a day shall get all his sins alleviated; Whoever recites this Sloka twice a day shall always be bestowed with food and wealth.
त्रिकालं यः पठेन्नित्यं महा शत्रु विनाशनम्
महालक्ष्मिर्भवेन्नित्यं प्रसन्ना वरदा शुभा (11)
tri-kaalam yah paTaen-nithyam mahaa shathru vinaashanam
mahaalakhsmir-Bhaven-nithyam prasannaa varadhaa shuBhaa
Whoever ardently reads and recites this Sri Maha Lakshmi Ashtakam with sincere devotion thrice a day shall be bestowed with the destruction of mighty enemies; He will be blessed to find Sri Maha Lakshmi in Her gracious form; She shall bestow good auspicious boons.
