Sri Achyuthashtakam is the Slokam in praise of and as prayer to Sri Maha Vishnu.  The slokam describes the various attributes of Sri Maha Vishnu in His various incarnations.

Sri Achyuthashtakam was composed by Sri Adi Sankarachraya. It contains eight stanzas with an additional stanza on the phalasruthi. Phalasruthi indicates the benefits of chanting this Slokam.

Sri Achyuthashtakam is narrated here with lyrics in Devanagari and English scripts with a simple English translation.

अच्युतं केशवं राम नारायणं
कृष्ण दामोदरं वासुदेवं हरिम्
श्रीधरं माधवं गोपिका वल्लभं
जानकी नायकं रामचंद्रं भजे (1)

achyuthaM kaeshavaM raama naaraayaNaM
kruShNa dhaamoadharaM vaasudhaevaM harim
shree-DharaM maaDhavaM goapikaa vallaBhaM
jaanakee naayakaM raamachaMdhraM Bhajae

I ardently worship you,
-Sri Achyutha, the unfailing and trustworthy;
-Sri Keshava, who has handsome hair and who killed the demon Kaeshi;
-Sri Rama, our beloved;
-Sri Narayana, who rests on water;
-Sri Krishna, the vivacious and attractive;
-Sri Damodara, who has the rope tied around the belly and waist by Yashoda;
-Sri Vasudeva, who lives in the minds as God;
-Sri Hari, who usurps the sins and accepts the offering at homam;
-Sri Dhara, who holds Sri Mahalakshmi in His heart;
-Sri Madhava, the consort of Madhavi, Sri Mahalakshmi; and
-the beloved of all the Gopikas;
I sincerely worship you, Sri Rama Chandra, the Lord and consort of Sri Janaki Devi.

अच्युतं केशवं सत्यभामाधवं
माधवं श्रीधरं राधिकाराधितम्
इन्दिरा मन्दिरं चेतसा सुन्दरं
देवकी नन्दनं नन्दजं सन्दधे (2)

achyuthaM kaeshavaM satyaBhaamaa-DhavaM
maaDhavaM shree-DharaM raaDhikaa-raaDhitham
indhiraa mandhiraM chethasaa sundharaM
dhaevakee nandhanaM nandha-jaM san-dhaDhae

I ardently worship you,
-Sri Achyutha, the unfailing and trustworthy;
-Sri Keshava, who has handsome hair and who killed the demon Kaeshi;
-the Lord and consort of Sathyabhama;
-Sri Madhava, the consort of Madhavi, Sri Mahalakshmi;
-Sri Dhara, who holds Sri Mahalakshmi in His heart;
-the beloved and the Lord of Sri Radhika;
-the sacred abode of Indira, Sri Mahalakshmi; and
-the possessor of splendorous beauty;
I sincerely worship you, the son of Devaki by birth and who became the heir of Nanda by adoption.

विष्णवे जिष्णवे शाङ्खिने चक्रिणे
रुक्मिणि रागिणे जानकी जानये
बल्लवी वल्लभायार्चितायात्मने
कंस विध्वंसिने वंशिने ते नमः (3)

visShNavae jiShNavae shaangkhinae chakriNae
rukmiNi raagiNae jaanakee jaanayae
ballavee vallaBhaay-aarchithaay-aathmanae
kamsa viDhvaMsinae vaMshinae thae namah

I ardently worship you,
-Sri Vishnu, the omni-present;
-Sri Jishnu, the ever triumphant;
-the embracer of the conch;
-the embracer of the holy wheel;
-the dear lover of Sri Rukmini;
-the beloved husband of Sri Janaki; and
-the beloved Lord of Gopikas who worship thee in their minds.
I sincerely worship you, the killer of demon Kamsa; You play soulful tunes in your flute.

कृष्ण गोविन्द हे राम नारायण
श्रीपते वासुदेवाजित श्रीनिधे
अच्युतानन्त हे माधवाधोक्षज
द्वारका नायक द्रौपदी रक्षक (4)

kruShNa govindha hae raama naaraayaNa
shree-pathae vaasudeva-ajitha shree-niDhae
achyutha-anantha hae maaDhava-aDhokShaja
dhvaarakaa naayaka dhraupadhee rakShaka

I ardently worship you,
-Sri Krishna, the vivacious and attractive;
-Sri Govinda, the holy cowherd;
-Sri Rama, our beloved;
-Sri Narayana, who rests on water;
-the Lord of Sri Mahalakshmi;
-Sri Vasudeva, who lives in the minds as God;
-the unconquerable;
-the abode of wealth;
-Sri Achyutha, the unfailing and trustworthy;
-Sri Anantha, the boundless;
-Sri Madhava, the consort of Madhavi, Sri Mahalakshmi; and
-Sri Adhokshaja, who can be ascertained only through holy scripts.
I sincerely worship you, the King of Dwaraka and the savior of Draupathi.

राक्षस क्षोभितः सीतया शोभितो
दण्ड कारण्य भूपुण्यता कारणः
लक्ष्मणेनान्वितो वानरौः सेवितो_
ऽगस्त सम्पूजितो राघव पातु माम् (5)

raakShasa kShoBhithah seethayaa shoBhitho
daNDa kaaraNya bhoo-puNyathaa kaaraNah
lakShmaNaen-aanvitho vaanarauh saevitho-
-aAgastha sampoojitho raaghava paathu maam

I ardently worship you
-who had beaten the demons;
-who is adorned by Sri Sita Devi as Her consort;
-who is the reason for the sanctification of Dandakaranya land;
-who was helped by Sri Lakshmana; and
-who was worshipped by the Vanara army.
I sincerely worship you who is worshipped by Sage Agasthya; Sri Raghava, the King of Raghu Vamsa, kindly save me.

धेनुका रिष्टकानिष्टकृद्द्वेषिहा
केशिहा कंसहृद्वंशिका वादकः
पूतना कोपकःसूरजा खेलनो
बाल गोपालकः पातु मां सर्वदा (6)

Dhenukaa riShTaka-aniShTa-krudh-dhveShihaa
kaeshihaa kamsa-hrud-vaMshikaa vaadhakah
poothanaa kopakah soora-jaa khaelano
baala gopaalakah paathu maaM sarvadhaa

I ardently worship you
-the killer of the donkey demon Dhenuka and the bull demon Arishtaka who were with evil intent;
-the killer of horse demon Keshi;
-the killer of demon Kamsa;
-who plays soulful tunes in the flute;
-the killer of the demoness Puthana; and
-who played at the bank of Yamuna, the river born to Sun God;
I sincerely worship you, the young protector of cows; Kindly protect and save me forever.

विद्युदुद्योत वत्प्रस्फुरद्वाससं
प्रावृडम्भोद वत्प्रोल्लसद्विग्रहम्
वन्यया मालया शोभितोरःस्थलं
लोहिताङ्घ्रिद्वयं वारिजाक्षं भजे (7)

vidhyud-udhyotha vath-prasphuradh-vaasasam
praavruD-amBhodha vath-prollasadh-vigraham
vanyayaa maalayaa shoBhithorh-rasThalaM
lohitha-angghri-Dhvayam vaarija-akSham Bhajae

I ardently worship you,
-whose dresses dazzle like lightning in the sky;
-whose beautiful appearance dart like the clouds in rainy days; and
-who is adorned with the garlands made of wild flowers.
I sincerely worship you, whose pair of feet is of reddish hue and whose eyes are brilliant like lotuses.

कुञ्चितैः कुन्तलैर्भ्राजमानाननं
रत्नमौलिं लसत्कुण्डलं गण्डयोः
हार केयूरकं कङ्कण प्रोज्ज्वलं
किङ्किणीमञ्जुलं श्यामलं तं भजे (8)

kunchchithaih kunthalair-Bhraajamaana-ananaM
rathna-mauliM lasath-kuNDalaM gaNDayoh
haara keyoorakaM kangkaNa projjvalaM
kingkiNee-manjjulaM shyaamalaM tham Bhajae

I ardently worship you,
-whose resplendent face is decorated with the darting locks of curly hairs;
-whose headgear is embedded with a precious gem;
-whose face is decked up with the dazzling ear ornaments; and
-who embellishes shining ornaments in the waist and the wrists;
I sincerely worship you, whose dark handsome form is decorated with tiny bells making pleasant sounds.

अच्युतस्याष्टकं यः पठेदिष्टदं
प्रेमतः प्रत्यहं पूरुषः सस्पृहम्
वृत्ततः सुन्दरं कर्तृविश्वम्भरस्तस्य
वश्यो हरिर्जायते सत्वरम् (9)

achyuthasyaaShtakaM yah paTedhiShta-dhaM
praematah prathyaham pooruShah saspruham
vruthathah sundharaM karthruv-vishvamBharas-thasya
vashyo harirjaayathe sathvaram

The person who devoutly and sincerely reads and recites this Sri Achyuthashtakam slokam with the longing for God shall be bestowed with the fulfillment of his desires. This slokam encompasses the attributes of Sri Hari. The devout reciter shall reach the abode of Sri Hari.
