Sri Seetha Rama Stotram is the Slokam in praise of and as prayer to Sri Seetha Devi and Lord Rama.

Sri Seetha Rama Stotram describes the attributes and compassion of Sri Rama and Sri Seetha. As per the legend, this Stotram is believed to be composed by Lord Hanuman Himself as prayer to Sri Rama and Sri Seetha. The benefits of chanting this Slokam are embedded in the text itself.

Sri Seetha Rama Stotram is presented in Devnagari and English scripts with a simple English translation.

अयोध्यापुर-नेतारं मिथिलापुर नायिकाम्
राघवाणामलङ्कारं वैदेहानमलङ्क्रियाम् (1)

ayoDhyaapura-nethaaraM miThilaapura naayikaam
raaghavaaNaam-alanGkaaraM vaidhehaanam-alanGkriyaam

Sri Rama is the Lord of Ayodhya; Sri Seetha is the queen of Mithila.
He is the glorifying ornament of the Raghu clan; She is the glorifying ornament of the Vaideha (Janaka) clan.

रघूणां कुलदीपं च निमीनां कुलदीपिकाम्
सूर्य वंशा-समुद्भूतं सोम वंशा-समुद्भवाम् (2)

raghooNaaM kuladheepaM cha nimeenaaM kuladheepikaam
soorya vaMshaa-samudhbhoothaM soma vaMshaa-samudhbhavaam

Sri Rama is the light of the Raghu clan; Sri Seetha is the light of Nimee (Janaka) clan.
He is from the lineage of Surya; She is from the lineage of Chandra.

पुत्रम् दशरथ स्याधं पुत्रीं जनक भूपते:
वशिष्टानु मताचारं शतानन्द मतानुगाम् (3)

puthram dhasharaTha syaaDhaM puthreeM janaka bhoopatheh
vashiShtaanu mathaachaaraM shathaanandha mathaanugaam

Sri Rama is the son of Dasharatha; Sri Seetha is the daughter of Janaka.
He has followed the Sage Vasishta; She has followed the Sage Sadhananda.

कौसल्यागर्भ-सम्भूतं वेदिगर्भोदितां स्वयम्
पुण्डरीक-विसालाक्षं स्फुरदिन्दीवरेक्षणाम् (4)

kausalyaagarbha-sambhoothaM vedhi-garbhodhithaaM svayam
puNdareeka-visaalaakShaM sphuradh-indheevare-kShaNaam

Sri Rama was born to Kausalya; Sri Seetha manifested from the ground.
His broad eyes are like lotuses; Her eyes resemble the indivara flowers.

चन्द्रकान्ताननाम्भोजं चन्द्र बिम्बोपमाननाम्
मत्त-मातङ्ग-गमनं मत्त-हंस-वधू-गताम् (5)

chandhra-kaantha-ananaambhojaM chandhra bimbo-pamaananaam
maththa-maathanGga-gamanaM maththa-haMsa-vaDhoo-gathaam

Sri Rama has the attraction of the moon rays; Sri Seetha has the face resembling moon.
His gait resembles an elephant. She walks like a swan.

चन्दनार्त्र-भुजामध्यं कुङ्कुमार्त्र कुचस्थलीम्
चापलङ्क्रुत-हस्ताब्जं पद्मालङ्क्रुत-पाणिकाम् (6)

chandhanaarthra-bhujaa-maDhyaM kunGkumaarthra kucha-sThaleem
chaap-alanGkrutha-hasthaabjaM padhma-alaGkrutha-paaNikaam

Sri Rama applies sandal paste to His chest; Sri Seetha decorates Herself with Kunkum.
He has the rope in His hands; Her hand adorns the lotus.

शरणागत-गोप्तारं प्रणिपाद-प्रसादिकाम्
कालमेघनिभं रामं कार्तस्वर-सम-प्रभाम् (7)

sharaNaagatha-gopthaaraM praNipaadha-prasaadhikaam
kaala-megha-nibhaM raamaM kaarthasvara-sama-prabhaam

Sri Rama protects the devotees who surrender to Him; Sri Seetha Devi is pleased with the devotion.
He resembles the dark cloud; She dazzles like gold.

दिव्य-सिम्हासनासीनं दिव्य- स्त्रग्वश्त्र -भूषणाम्
अनुक्षणं कटाक्षाभ्यां अन्योयेक्षण-काङ्क्षिनौ (8)

dhivya-simhaasanaaseenaM dhivya- sthragvashthra -bhooShaNaam
anukShaNaM kataakShaabhyaaM anyoyekShaNa-kaaGkShinau

Sri Rama sits on the divine throne; Sri Seetha adorns the divine garments and garlands.
He keeps glancing at Her every time; She lovingly invites the glances from Him.

अन्योन्य-शधशाकरौ त्रैलोकय ग्रुहदम्पती
इमौ युवां प्रणम्याहं भजाम्यध क्रुतार्थताम् (9)

anyonya-shaDhashaakarau thrailokaya gruha-dhampathee
imau yuvaaM praNamyaahaM bhajaamyaDha kruthaarThathaam

Sri Rama and Sri Seetha reflect each other; They are the great Divine Couple in the three worlds.
I sincerely devoutly surrender to Them; I sing and chant Their praise.

अनेन स्तौति य: स्तुत्यं रामं सीतां च भक्तित:
तस्य तौ तनुतां पुण्यास्सम्पद: स्कलार्थदा: (10)

anena sthauthi yah sthuthyaM raamaM seethaaM cha bhakthithah
thasya thau thanuthaaM puNyaassampadhah skalaarThadhaah

The persons who sincerely pray to Sri Rama and Sri Seetha with ardent devotion shall become close to the Divine Couple and the said devotees’ problems shall vanish. They will attain all types of wealth.

एवं श्रीरामचन्द्रस्य जानक्याश्च विशेषत:
क्रुतं हनुमता पुण्यं स्तोत्रं सद्यो विमुक्तिदम्
य: पठेत्प्रातरुत्थाय सर्वान् कामनवावाप्नुयात्

evaM shreeraamachandhrasya jaanakyaashcha visheShatha
kruthaM hanumathaa puNyaM sthothraM sadhyo vimukthidham
yah paTeth-praatharuthThaaya sarvaan kaamanava-avaapnuyaath

This Stotram praising Sri Ramachandra and Sri Seetha Devi is being chanted as ordained by Sri Hanuman who has prayed to Them with these lines. The person who sincerely reads and recites this slokam shall get his desires fulfilled.

इति श्री हनुमत्क्रुत श्रीसीताराम स्तोत्रम् सम्पूर्णम्
